Manofield Australian Whites

We made the move away from wool breeds to Australian Whites in March 2023 with a bought in mob of scanned in lamb ewes.

Ben & Kerry Heinrich at Manofield Australian Whites were recommended by a local stock agent for advice and supply of rams.

It quickly became apparent that they were both practical, approachable and willing to share their knowledge of the breed.

We have bought all our Australian White rams from Manofield and found them to be good value, hardy, fertile and a no fuss solution to our breeding programme.

Shedding breeds used to be discounted heavily at the Dublin market, but that is no longer the case, due to huge imoprovements in carcass confirmation and heavier weight animals from better genetics that come from studs such as Manofield.

Tried some of Benno’s Manofield Aussie White rams for the first time in 2024. The ‘new boys’ adjusted to their southern climate quickly and went about their task without complaint.

This years lambs have great conformation and are growing very well, especially considering the very challenging start to the growing season in SA. We are looking forward to weaning time in spring.

We are very happy with the performance of the rams we have purchased from Manofield over the years. Their rams have great structure, are good shedders and have good feet. We have seen noticeable increases in our lambing percentage and overall growth rates. Ben and Kerry are great to deal with and are very passionate about breeding high quality rams.
